LUKAS AND LIONS ROAR INTO RACE

MILLWALL goalkeeper Lukas Jensen admits it felt “surreal” to see Millwall sitting in the Championship play-off places.

A 1-1 draw at home to Derby three weeks ago left the Lions languishing in 20th place, just two points above the relegation zone.

But after beating Plymouth, Swansea and Burnley, Wednesday’s 1-0 victory over Leeds at The Den saw Neil Harris’ side soar into the top six.

“It’s hard not to smile right now,” says Jensen, who joined Millwall from League One side Lincoln in the summer.

“It’s been such a crazy few weeks. We were saying after the Leeds game that if you look back a bit more than two weeks, we were pretty much bottom. Now we’re here. It’s like… what?

“We always believed we could turn things around but to see it happening so quickly has been a little bit surreal.”

So what has happened? “Honestly, if I could answer that question, I would probably be coaching a very big club,” laughs Jensen. “The truth is, I can’t. I just think there were a lot of new players in the summer, myself included, and the more games we play together, the better we are getting.”
