BRISTOL City boss Liam Manning admitted to having trouble keeping a clear head after seeing substitute Scott Twine net an 88th-minute winner to edge out Millwall in a thriller at Ashton Gate.

The hosts took a twogoal lead early on through Anis Mehmeti and Sinclair Armstrong, but were pegged back shortly after the break with a strike from Romain Esse and a penalty from Tom Bradshaw.

Duncan Watmore then put the visitors ahead with a superb volley, before substitute Fally Mayulu hit back with the equaliser and Twine won it with two minutes of normal time remaining.

Manning said: "I go through the same emotions as the fans in a game like that, the highs one minute and frustration the next.

"The challenge for me is to stay in the present, which isn't always easy - if you allow your emotions to take over and get carried away you are not able to make the changes you need in terms of tactics and substitutions.
