A Qualcomm chipset should help the XPS 13 retain its status as the go-to Windows ultraportable in the age of Copilot+ smarts... shouldn't it?
You never can Dell

■ Dell majored on minimalist design for the previous XPS 13, and has dug its heels in for this one. Of the Copilot+ laptops we’ve tried so far, this one has the most high-end feel, with a slim body hewn from lightweight aluminium.

■ We’re not fans of the flattened keyboard, which is no fun to bash at and feels squeezed. Key travel is decent enough, but moving ‘escape’ and ‘delete’ to the row of capacitive keys at the top has made them much harder to hit.

■ The stock screen is a 1080p non-touch LCD with an excellent anti-glare coating. The 30-120Hz variable refresh rate makes motion feel smooth, but colour accuracy is just OK. We’d recommend upgrading to the OLED touch panel.
