She's one of Loose Women's most iconic panellists, thanks to her straight-talking and no-nonsense approach. Yet it hasn't always been an easy ride for Denise Welch, who's been honest about her alcohol and depression battles in the past.

Amazingly, the 64-year old actor is now over 'I'VE QUIT LOT CELEB a decade sober and hasn't had a depressive episode in three years - which she famously dubbed 'the unwelcome visitor'.

The TV favourite shares her sons The 1975's frontman Matty, 33, and former Emmerdale actor Louis, 22 with Benidorm star Tim Healy, with whom she was married from 1988 until their divorce in 2012. However, Cupid struck once again for Denise, this time in a nightclub at 6 am when she met artist Lincoln Townley - 14 years her junior. The pair tied the knot in the Algarve, Portugal, in 2013 and have been happily married ever since.

The mum-of-two has been making headlines recently by posting her enviable swimwear shots on social media, and seeing as she lives by the motto, 'I like to work hard and I like to relax hard,' we can see why she's partial to a spa day. Here she tells us why she'll be celebrating lots of milestones this year and how she can't wait to become a grandmother...

Hi Denise, you revealed on Loose Women recently that you ask your sons’ partners if they want to become mums. Why is that?
