Since rising to fame on The X Factor in 2009, cheeky Essex lad Olly Murs has had a place in our hearts. Now, having recently tied the knot with bodybuilder and model Amelia Tank and announcing that he won’t be returning as a coach on The Voice in 2024, the singer, 39, has entered a new chapter. Here, he fills Woman’s Own in on how his life has changed, plans to start a family and what his relationship with Simon Cowell is really like.
Hi Olly, how’s married life treating you?
Well, I mean I’ve got to tell them [his female fans] I’m married now. They are all screaming! No, everything is great. I haven’t been around much really because I’ve been touring so it’s nice to be home, really lovely. For me, this year has been about us and our marriage.
What’s been your highlight of 2023?
Saying I do and getting a ring on my finger.
You’re known for being a bit of a flirt. Are you a changed man?
