Leading the charge is our FH16-780 Aero road test, which trials the new top-power model on a long haul from Thessaloniki, Greece to Gothenburg, Sweden. What do we make of all that extra grunt? Find out inside! A bit lower down the power range is our cover truck: Ian Roberts’ stunning new FH 500 TC Aero. This operator is no stranger to push the envelope when it comes to his vehicles, and so far it’s bedding in very well indeed.
We also look at an unassuming, yet tough and reliable FH 540 logger at work for the aptly named Rob Woodward; explore some cracking FH16-750 heavy haulers from the pile-driving fleet of ProDrive; get up close with a super-unusual FM Tridem with 540 bhp engine on the fleet of BT Jones; and swing by James Richardson’s yard to look at a trio of very special Volvos – his show-winning FH16 Siberian Express, a rare early FH16 and an immaculate F12.
