Around the end of last year, a popular joke circulating on social media was how we were about to enter “twenty twenty too” featuring reruns of all the maladies that plagued us during the first year of the crisis. And sure, while the start of 2022 had its fair share of bad news, you simply can’t help be a bit bearish about the months to come. Or perhaps tiger-ish would be not too off the mark here. With New Year’s still fresh in our memories and Valentine’s just around the corner, we’re also entering the Year of the Tiger. On that note, it’s always interesting how various international fashion, watches and even gadget brands would join in the celebrations to welcome the New Lunar Year with thematic launches. Often limited, sometimes region-exclusive, always collectible. And for this edition, we had the opportunity to collaborate with arguably the most fitting brand for the occasion: Onitsuka Tiger. So, for this issue’s cover, we partnered up with the famous Japanese fashion label and also rising Indonesian star Randy Martin—who, as it happens, was born on a year of the tiger, too. At the same time, we’ve also caught up again with American actor Conor Donnally, whom we’ve last talked to back in 2019, and sat down for achat with Travis Van Winkle from the hit Neflix series “You.” On the fashion side of things, we have quite a treat for you, including our curated selection of key looks of the season, snippets from the last spring/ summer collection by the late great Virgil Abloh and more.
