എനിക്ക് കൂടുതൽ താൽപര്യം കലയോടായിരുന്നു. പേരന്റ്സ് മീറ്റിങ്ങിന് അച്ഛനോ അമ്മയോ വരുമ്പോൾ സ്കൂളിലെ അധ്വാപകർ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു എന്റെ താൽപര്യങ്ങൾ ഇതൊക്കെയാണെന്ന്. അങ്ങനെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു പ്രോത്സാഹനം ലഭിച്ചു. പത്താം ക്ലാസിൽ പഠിക്കുമ്പോഴും നാടകമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് നടന്നപ്പോൾ അച്ഛനു ദേഷ്യം വന്നു. അച്ഛൻ സ്കൂളിൽ വന്ന് അധ്യാപകരെ കണ്ട് പരാതി പറഞ്ഞു. ഫാദർ എഫ്രെയിം തോമസ് ആയിരുന്നു പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ. അച്ഛൻ പരാതി പറയുമ്പോൾ ഫാദർ പറയും, \"അവൻ പഠിച്ചോളും, പേടിക്കേണ്ട' എന്ന്.
