Mercedes is busy rebuilding the GLE in an all-new generation, but in the meanwhile, we pay homage to the current one by taking the Coupe out for an adventure.
I wasn’t really a fan of these coupe-ish SUVs. Yeah, they do look slightly more appealing than the standard SUVs, but they’re a bit pointless. The journey started with the BMW X6 and then Mercedes caught on to the trend, and made a coupe-SUV out of every SUV it found in its stables. Almost. And BMW wasn’t going to shy away either, so it went ahead with the new generation of the X6 and then the new X4 has just come along. With the number of these coupe-SUVs on offer, it’s now hard to not give them a serious look.
