Batteries are revolutionising transportation, and theyvemanaged to find themselves into our Bicycles as well
We have pretty much established that electricity is the way forward, so I’m not going to bore you with the nitty gritties. Every car manufacturer with any intention of staying afloat has got some EV roadmap in place. The last month itself has seen two titans — Mercedes-Benz and Audi — unveil their first fully-electric cars. Actually, SUVs, to be more precise. But that’s not the point. The point is, they are here. Whether you’re the type who welcomes change or would rather scowl and rev a V8 in protest, EVs are coming. In more ways than one.
Take a look at this machine here. It’s called the Tronx One. It looks like any other fancy bicycle, albeit one that has become a wee bit portly off late. Go closer, and you will start noticing some really odd bits on it. The frame insurance on it and crucially, you do not need a license to ride one. But there is a flip side as well, since it has no VIN number, it cannot be insured like a regular vehicle and getting a loan isn’t as easy.
