THERE IS DEEP CONCERN WITHIN THE AUTOMOTIVE industry, owners and enthusiasts about Jaguar Cars new direction and long -erm future since the announcement of the Reimagine programme. Its drastic changes could mean one of two things; either it is a brilliant and daring strategy by new CEO Thierry Bolloré, or Jaguar will lose its soul and come crashing down.
Jaguar Cars will be the first established manufacturer to delete all internal combustion engines from its range, and every new car in the current range will be gone within three years except the all-electric I-PACE. An entirely new range promises to be exotic and electric only. Adding to the concern about management changes to what is seen as a uniquely personal marque, even so long after its founder’s retirement in 1971, is the seemingly heartless and unnecessary attack on a Scandinavian couple building a replica C-Type - with the consent of Jaguar Cars. There has been little follow-up by JLR to the public about the matter. People everywhere have been outraged by something most see as puzzling and hypercritical. Jaguar owns outside-built replicas itself, and there is estimated to be between 500 and 1000 of the C-Type which have been produced throughout the world.
The entire publicity disaster is judged as unwarranted and totally out of character for Jaguar.

THE F-PACE IS JAGUAR'S BEST SELLING MODEL AND continues to improve in all ways. The 2021 upgrades are sensational to the point where it now feels close to an XJ from the driver or passenger seats. It is that luxurious. It is multi-purpose too, so aside from family duties, it will handle the dirty stuff like a dedicated SUV and, encouragingly, Jaguar really has got its head around what the F-PACE was capable of achieving from its inception.
