HARD WORK, SACRIFICE, AND A BIT OF LUCK TURNED THIS S2000 INTO AN UPPER MIDWEST SHOWSTOPPER

TOUCH OF DESTINY
Every now and then, you run across a story where it seems external forces were at play. You get the feeling it isn’t just the culmination of hard work and paying dues—it’s more of a tale that makes you think to yourself, Man, that just came together too well. When we sat down with the owner of this Honda S2000, we started to get that vibe as Cameron Brass told us about how he got his S2000 and how it got to this point. That’s not to say he doesn’t work hard or make sacrifices, but it’s like the marriage between him and his car were destined to happen.

But first, let’s rewind the tapes to eight years ago, when Cameron was a proud owner of a fifth-generation Prelude. While it was tastefully modified as far as Prelude builds go, he’d been longing for something else for quite a long time. Most Honda enthusiasts revere the NSX as their dream car, but Cameron had his heart on set the S2000. The Minneapolis native began his search for a white roadster and found the exact one he wanted locally. There was just one problem, though…it wasn’t for sale. But as luck or fate would have it, the cousin of the white S2000 owner had a black model he was dying to get rid of. The deal was too good to pass up and Cameron jumped at the opportunity.
