"What is certain about the future is that it is going to be uncertain and your models have to be able to cater to it" - Akhilesh Prasad, President & CEO, Fashion & Lifestyle Business, Reliance Retail and Chairman, IFF 2022
India Fashion Forum, the largest fashion retail intelligence event of South Asia, successfully concluded its two-day 21st edition hosted at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences. The forum, held between March 23 and 24, 2022, was a mega congregation of leaders and thought provokers from across the country to address how fashion brands and companies must move forward in sync with the new world order. Chaired by Akhilesh Prasad, President & CEO, Fashion & Lifestyle Business, Reliance Retail, the event this year sought to engage the audience with riveting discussions on burning topics of the day and tips to thrive in one of the most dynamic eras of fashion retail.
In his inaugural address, Prasad said, "The future is good but what the future is essentially, we don't really know. So we need to look at models that are more flexible, leaner and have a fast Speed to Market. You need to be ready in the offline, online and omnichannel space; you don't know where the market will be in the next two to three years."
