XU BIN, 28, and his Chinese girlfriend WANG YIFEI, 27, got hitched in a wedding filled with stars, a light show and buckets of tears.
Held in a ballroom at Orchard Hotel on a Friday afternoon — we’re guessing the couple’s 250 guests either have flexible work hours or took leave to attend the wedding — the place was transformed into a sea of white and blue for the day. The groomsmen were dressed in cobalt blue (see next page) and blue and white bouquets embellished each of the 25 tables. Upping the fairy tale factor were the fairy lights hanging from an awning on the aisle. At the reception area, there was a photo booth,a dessert stand and a craft station where guests could make their own potpourri bags.
All that glitters: This low-cut silver-number adorned with hundreds of shiny crystals would have looked awesome with the kirakira app.
Very very auspicious: The bride wore a red bustier laser-cut lace dress for her third outfit which she matched with what looks like traditional dowry jewellery - a gold necklace with a huge pendant in the shape of a flower.
The dresses: The bride donned three elaborate custom made dresses, all sponsored by wedding boutique Z Wedding.
Where did the bride go: All eyes were on Yifei... or rather, her gown, when the lights suddenly dimmed and a light show was projected onto her white wedding gown.
