“I Trust People Too Easily, and at One Point, I Had That Trust Betrayed. I’m Stronger Now, but It Broke Me Good and Proper Back Then.”
If there’s one thing that pops about this burgeoning star, it’s that she’s not afraid to be vulnerable...or to fight the world for the man she loves, admit she prefers commercial success to critical, and unabashedly cry her eyes out.
The first phrase that comes to mind when you look at this delicate, waif-like young actor is ‘girl next door’...and while there is the stray thought that it must lead to Kriti Sanon being typecast, we can’t help but wonder how much she fits that bill in real life. “Perhaps to counter that girl-next-door thing, I seek out characters that have spunk. To me, playing the girl-next-door is not a challenge, even though I did kind of play one in Dilwale but I felt she still had a certain strong-headedness about her. There is something to be said for innocence in a character, though it’s greatly appealing.” That said, she’d be happy to play a character that was totally offbeat. “I’d even play a lesbian, no problem it’s just that it would be hard, and require so much research. But it’s so un-me that it’d be fun to do.”
