Crack out the maracas in celebration because Love Island is back for an eighth series. And this year’s dating show, which annually takes over our summer schedules, is set to be one of the best yet!
A fresh batch of boys and girls will be walking into a brand-new luxury villa, set in the breathtaking Majorcan hills. But the producers have promised all our favourite areas will still be there – including the firepit, pool, sun loungers and a new and improved gym.
The dulcet tones of voiceover supremo Iain Stirling, 34, are back to deliver his witty commentary. And of course his wife Laura Whitmore, 37, is also making a welcome return as host of both the main series and its sister show Aftersun.
Here she tells us about the show’s celebrity admirers and reveals why she sometimes gets the jitters and can’t make eye contact with the Islanders…
Hi Laura, how does it feel to be back hosting Love Island?
It’s so exciting to be back. I feel like summer is here! I think we all need a little bit of Love Island in our lives.
