Geordie Shore fans know Sophie Kasaei best as the party girl who brought her fair share of chaos to the MTV show. But these days the 35-year-old admits she's never felt more lonely. Sophie has been trying for a baby with her partner Jordan Brook, 29, for the last year and a half- and reveals she's ready to speak about their struggle to conceive.
"My friends around me weren't really struggling. They never went through what I've been through," Sophie tells new. "It's really, really lonely. It's hard. You get to a really low point where you feel like you're on your own and there are so many emotions. All you want is a family and all you want is this beautiful baby with your partner and I just couldn't get it. I still can't to this day - but there are ways that I can eventually." Sophie has discussed her hopes to start a family in posts on social media, and she is now bringing the topic to our screens in her documentary Every Woman With Sophie Kasaei.
The MTV series shares the story of Sophie and TOWIE star Jordan's struggle to conceive as she explores the many different routes to motherhood.
The TV project couldn't be further from Geordie Shore, which Sophie joined as an original cast member in 2011.
"I'm such an open book and I've given the world my life since being 20 years old," she says. "I thought, 'Why hide this when other people will be going through the same thing?' I'm not a young girl - I'm 35 now. It's harder to get pregnant as you get older and I know a lot of my followers are the same age." Sharing her experience with her fans has made Sophie feel less alone. "I wanted to open up because it helped me," she says.
