FRIENDS & LOVERS
He's an accomplished actor, but Joe Alwyn is perhaps better known as Taylor's Swift's long-term boyfriend. That's all set to change, though. Joe is set to become an overnight sex symbol as he takes on the lead role in new BBC Three series Conversations With Friends.
Written by Normal People author Sally Rooney, the 31-yearold will star as married actor Nick, who has an affair with much younger college student Frances (Alison Oliver), although his marriage to photographer Melissa (Jemima Kirke) hasn't always been monogamous.
Set in Dublin, the TV adaptation of Sally's 2017 debut novel centres on Frances and her ex-girlfriend Bobbi. As the pair are performing spoken-word poetry, they are noticed by Melissa, who decides to invite the teenagers back to the home she shares with Nick.
Their lives become entwined as Frances begins an affair with Nick, while Bobbi and Melissa also grow close, and they are forced to ask grown-up questions about love, jealousy and honesty.
