SHE knows shes always good for a laugh. There she was at the 2015 Golden Globes, eminently meme-able with her “cry face.” She was caught napping at the 2017 Oscars and went viral again at the2018 Emmys, trying to slink out of frame when the cameras turned to her husband, John Legend. “I feel like now they’re always looking at me,” Chrissy Teigen has said of the Twitter-verse. “And waiting for something.”
Recently, however, that “something” got dark. In late May, model Courtney Stodden, now 26, revealed that the 35-year-old had cyberbullied the reality star both publicly and privately a decade ago. “[Chrissy] would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself,” said Stodden, who famously married older actor Doug Hutchinson at age 16 in 2011. “Things like, ‘I can’t wait for you to die.’ ”
The backlash was swift. Chrissy quickly took to Twitter to apologize for her actions, calling herself an “insecure, attention-seeking troll” before adding, “I am ashamed and completely embarrassed.” But the damage was done. Two major department stores pulled her new cookware line and the outspoken mom of two was raked over the coals on social media. Now, an insider tells Star, her very marriage has been rocked. Over the years, John, says the insider, has indulged the mom of Miles, 5, and three-year-old Luna, but is fed up.
“John has the patience of a saint. He loves her, but their relationship is being stressed to the max,” says the insider.
“Without a doubt, this is the biggest test of their marriage.”
