AT HER LIMIT
Beyoncé is said to be livid over the accusations of Jay's involvement in Diddy's alleged crimes. "She is extremely image-conscious," says a source.
JAY-Z was beaming with pride as he stepped onto the red carpet at the Dec. 9 premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King in L.A. Dressed in a brown suit and tie, the rapper gamely posed for photos alongside his wife, Beyoncé, and their 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, both of whom star in the film, as well as his mother-in-law, Tina Knowles. The typically low-key celeb was more animated than usual, smiling and flashing peace signs and even busting some dance moves as Bey and Tina laughed behind him.
CLOSE PALS
Since Diddy's September arrest, there's been speculation that accusations against his famous friends would soon follow.
The family’s united front was surprising: Just one day earlier, Jay (real name Shawn Carter) was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in a lawsuit filed in New York. The suit had originally been filed in October against Jay’s longtime friend, Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was arrested on Sept. 18 for sex trafficking and racketeering; in it, the plaintiff claimed Diddy and an unnamed man had assaulted her in 2000, when she was 13. It was amended on Dec. 8 to name Jay. The hip-hop mogul, 55, quickly hit back in a lengthy statement, calling the claims “idiotic.”
