In a revealing new interview, the 79-year-old opens up about the decade he spent as a member of the world’s most celebrated band —and reveals secrets about the Beatles that fans have never known, from the wild highs of their early years to who really instigated their break-up — and the depression he suffered in its aftermath. “The job was gone, and it was more than the job, obviously — it was the Beatles, the music, my musical life, my collaborator,” Paul tells The New Yorker of the group’s shocking demise. “It was this idea of ‘What do I do now?’”
