Trending on Twitter can go either way when you’re a celebrity. And it wasn’t good news for Armie Hammer on January 10 after graphic and concerning messages alleged to have been sent from the actor’s official Instagram account went viral for their explicit and disturbing nature.

An anonymous Instagram account, House of Effie, shared screenshots of the messages in which the 34-year-old allegedly speaks about drinking blood and describes various graphic sex acts. “I am 100 per cent a cannibal. I want to eat you,” one said. “You just live to obey me and be my slave. I will own you. If I wanted to cut off one of your toes and keep it with me in my pocket so I always had a piece of you in my possession?” another message read.

House of Effie explained she initially shared a video that referenced her alleged affair with Call Me by Your Name star Hammer, prompting other women to come forward. “We collectively decided we have to speak out after how we were treated and seeing how the women in 2020 were being treated by him,” she said. “We cannot allow more women to endure what we’re going through in the future.”
