A devastated Princess Beatrice has accepted that she’ll be joining the growing list of brides around the world forced to cancel their weddings due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The loved ones of her fiancé, Italian financier Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, remain trapped in lockdown in their native Italy with the likelihood of borders closing and all gatherings being banned.

Mozzi, 37, was expecting several family and friends to travel from Italy to London for the May 29 nuptials, but that’s now almost certainly not going to happen as the family are from the Lombardy region of Northern Italy, one of the areas worst hit by coronavirus.
