For Julia Zemiro, the ninth and final season of her show Home Delivery was always going to be an emotional ride.

Just how emotional it would get for the 55-year-old actress and television host – who embarked on her own home delivery, reliving significant moments from her life – was something Zemiro wasn’t quite prepared for.

“I wasn’t 100 per cent sure I should do it, but I can see why it makes sense. Over the years people have often asked, ‘If you did your home delivery, where would you go?’” smiles Zemiro. “We came to Australia from France when I was 2 and I grew up in Sydney’s Bondi.”

“So, we went to my dad’s old restaurant, which we used to live above,” explains Zemiro. “It was difficult and weird to do. I won’t say I didn’t find it challenging. But I realise now, ‘Well you’ve made 76 other people do it, so come on!’”
