Jimmy Fallon Proves There's No Place Like Home

Like many parents who are working remotely during the coronavirus pandemic, Jimmy Fallon lives surrounded by chaos. “My whole office is a total mess,” says the Tonight Show host, 45, via Zoom, showing off piles of camera equipment, paper, and phone chargers scattered around a desk in his Suffolk County, NY, home. As he opens the door to a family room and kitchen area nearby, his wife, Nancy Juvonen, 53, and daughters Winnie, 6, and Franny, 5, are wrapping up a morning of virtual learning. “Here’s our homeschool area. Winnie, what did you learn today? I heard you reading,” he says. Adds Juvonen: “We just crushed it so hard, so now we’re making some crafts to twirl and swirl.” Panning around the room to a play area, Fallon shows off some of his own homemade crafts. “Here’s my painting of Demi Lovato. I didn’t put eyes or a nose in, because I figured I would mess up the face. And here’s the tent that no-one has used ever, which took me at least two and a half hours to build,” he says. “I’m going to start having dinners in the tent.”

Juvonen, who co-owns production company Flower Films with Drew Barrymore, continues by pointing out a space strewn with buttons, ribbons, school supplies, and artwork. “This is really almost how we live anyway. We’re like happy, weird people,” she says. Adds Fallon: “It’s just us. It’s really kind of Little House on the Prairie. Yes, it’s challenging. But if I can be Pa Ingalls, I’ll take it.”
