She’s successful at everything she tries her hand at, from modelling and presenting on TV to running her own interior design and construction companies. But Kyly Clarke isn’t surprised that people don’t think she has what it takes to win Dancing with the Stars: All Stars. “People always underestimate me,” she tells WHO.

The 39-year-old is currently taking part in the reality TV show again after pulling out of the program in 2014 due to an injury. “I definitely feel like I have something to prove to myself,” Clarke adds.

It’s a challenge the mum-of-one is embracing with gusto. Since announcing the end of her seven-year marriage to former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke in February 2020, Clarke has been focusing on Kelsey Lee, 5 – the daughter she co-parents with her ex – and getting into the best shape of her life.

Clarke, who’s equally as comfortable on a building site (she obtained her project manager’s licence recently) as she is on a catwalk, says she and pro-dance partner Gustavo Viglio will be a force on the dance floor. “I will give this my all,” she says. “When people say they didn’t think I could do something then see that I can, it’s a really cool compliment.”

You look amazing! How much preparation have you been doing for DWTS?

Gustavo and I have been practising up to six hours a day for the past few weeks. It’s been intense.
