Meghan & Harry - Inside Their Final Move

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have hammered the last nail in the coffin of their former life, purchasing their very first home together in California – far from the royal family across the other side of the world. The couple bought the mansion in celeb-friendly Montecito, Santa Barbara, on June 18 and moved in quietly six weeks ago.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into their family home in July of this year,” a spokesperson for the couple confirmed on August 13 of the move. “They have settled into the quiet privacy of their community since their arrival and hope that this will be respected for their neighbors, as well as for them as a family.”

Meghan, 39, spoke of her feelings about the move on August 14. “It’s good to be home,” she said, while serving as a moderator at The 19th Represents Virtual Summit. She added that she welcomed being able to “use my voice in a way that I haven’t been able to of late”.

Harry, 35, and Meghan had been living in friend Tyler Perry’s Beverly Hills mansion since moving to California from Canada in late March, but have had their eyes peeled for a home of their own for some time now. “Harry and Meghan never intended to make Los Angeles their home,” a source told Page Six. “It was a good place for them to be upon their arrival in the US to be close to Meghan’s mother.”
