YOU CAN’T SEE HIS FACE IN THE HIT STAR WARS SERIES – BUT PROTECTING BABY YODA IS A DREAM ROLE FOR THE ACTOR, THE SON OF REFUGEES FROM CHILE
The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal: The man behind the mask!

Pedro Pascal is on the hottest streak of his career – but for his most popular role, his face remains completely hidden. As the planet-hopping bounty hunter at the center of Disney+’s hit Star Wars series The Mandalorian, he’s encased in a mask and armour, able to express himself only through his movements and commanding voice.

“The general rule is the better it looks, the more uncomfortable it is,” Pascal says of his futuristic costume. “It’s a delicious kind of detailed, technical and at times surgical work, but it ends up looking so good that it turns out to be worth it.”

So what if his sidekick – a big-eared creature officially called the Child but now galaxy-famous as Baby Yoda – adorably steals scene after scene? Coming after his charismatic turns on HBO’s Game of Thrones and Netflix’s Narcos, The Mandalorian, now in its second season, has helped make Pascal, 45, a top Hollywood name at last. Next up, he co-stars in the superhero sequel Wonder Woman 1984.
