Qi wireless charging – with style
Rob Mead-Green
Moshi Otto Q

FEATURES Qi wireless charging (up to 15W), USB-C port (1m USB-C cable included), non-slip silicone surface ring and base; supports cases up to 5mm thick

While the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro sport Apple’s MagSafe tech, every iPhone since the iPhone 8 has supported wireless charging. You just place your iPhone on a Qi-compatible pad and, well, wait… sometimes for rather a long time. While wireless charging isn’t necessarily quick, it is convenient – you don’t have to rummage around for a Lightning cable, or worry about sticking said connector into a rapidly fluff-filling port, you just plop your iPhone down and go.

Moshi’s already impressed us with its £164 Symbus Q charger (MF364), but the Otto Q is a cheaper and simpler proposition. It shares its sibling’s Nordic Grey finish, with a silicone ring on top to keep your phone in place, and has silicone on its underside to keep it planted on your desk. It comes with a one-metre USB-C to USB-C cable, but no charging plug, so you’ll need to supply your own.
