WHEN IT COMES TO Asus, many tech journalists—ourselves included—have often jokingly stated that its product lines suffer from what’s known as the “Asus tax”—they’re perhaps a bit more expensive than they ought to be, and much like Nvidia, with its generational jumps in tech, these products regularly see price increases year-on-year that are hard to justify.

Traditionally the ROG Hero line of motherboards has been aimed at the mid to high-end gamer. Whether that’s with Intel or AMD, usually you can see these floating around the $200-$250 mark.
