Cinema’s bad boy is taking to the stage to tour his new album

Luke Evans went from London’s West End to Hollywood’s silver screen, making his cinematic debut in 2010’s Clash Of The Titans. Now he’s touring his debut album, At Last – a collection of cover versions of songs originally sung by women that have never been covered by men.

What kind of fanbase has starring in films like The Hobbit and Fast & Furious 6 brought you?

A very diverse one. It really is extraordinary. This is no word of a lie, I’ve been at the Taj Mahal at 6am to watch the sunrise over the Taj Mahal, and three Indian kids have come up to me – 14 and 15 – and gone, “Excuse me, are you Dracula?” And I’m like, “Yes.” “What are you doing here?” I thought it was quite funny. I was like, “It’s the sun. I need to see it before the sun rises.” And they just looked at me like, “What is Dracula doing here before the sun rises?”

Is it fun to be recognised as a “baddie”?
