Bethesda blew us all away at E3 2016 with the announcement of Prey, a brand new game coming to your TVs and monitors in 2017.
Well, if you get right down to it, they re-announced it. But that’s okay. Because it doesn’t change the amazingness we all got hit with.
You see, back in the year of our lord 2011 A.D., everyone got enthusiastically excited over a little game called Prey 2. What wasn’t there to be excited about? The story of a bounty hunter in a setting that looks straight out of Blade Runner or the holy franchise, Star Wars. But alas. Our hopes and dreams were dashed when the game was cancelled and no one ever thought it would see the light of day.
And then BAM! (Sorry, Emeril) Bethesda blew our minds with the new game, and simply decided to call it Prey. Though not quite as ambitious as what we saw in Prey 2, Prey tells the story of Morgan Yu, who is being methodically hunted by a strange and mysterious alien force aboard a highly advanced spaceship that still looks like it belongs in a universe the like of Blade Runner or Star Wars. And, it’s coming to you in 2017 for Xbox One, Play- Station 4, and PC.
Sadly, we still don’t have much more right now. But that doesn’t change the level excitement shared by many people who have seen the trailers. And if you haven’t seen it yet, you really should. Go ahead, I’ll wait.
