PIERS MORGAN’S LIFE STORIES
NEW THURSDAY / ITV / 9PM / EP 1 of 5 / FACTUALThere’s nothing like a dame, and with the milestone 100th episode of ITV’s Life Stories fast approaching, Piers Morgan has set his sights high!
‘I’m after the Dames, who’ve been very resistant to me!’ smiles Piers, 55, who returns with a new collection of in-depth celebrity interviews this week, starting with reality TV phenomenon Gemma Collins. ‘Shirley Bassey, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith… And Joan Collins, who we did years ago [in 2010] and is now in her 70th year in the movie business, is likely to appear in the 100th episode!’
With his former friend Donald Trump now having more time on his hands, does Piers think the ex-US President will sign up for the Life Stories experience?
‘I don’t think he has it in him to be honest and open about his failures,’ Piers tells us.
‘He’s just lost his mind in the last year, culminating in his refusal to accept the democratic result of the election. As somebody who was very friendly with him for a long time [they met on the US version of The Celebrity Apprentice in 2008], it is very sad to watch.’
Piers has been making some headlines of his own recently, thanks to his grilling of politicians on Good Morning Britain during the coronavirus pandemic.
