MARY BERRY’S FANTASTIC FEASTS NEW WEDNESDAY / BBC1 / 8PM / COOKERY
Dame Mary Berry has helped many novice cooks whip up mouth-watering menus over the years. But the ‘Queen of Cakes’ has her work cut out in her new BBC1 show, Mary Berry’s Fantastic Feasts, as her protégés have had their fair share of culinary disasters.
Firefighter Mark has never followed a recipe before, while youth worker Callum’s nan does most of the cooking and boxing instructor Thaer once threw a pot away because it was so burnt! However, the group are all hoping Dame Mary can help them create a scrumptious surprise afternoon tea for a friend.
‘Teaching cookery is a passion of mine, so I want to share my knowledge and encourage beginner cooks,’ says Dame Mary, 86.
