Tyrone has been left counting the cost of his new relationship with Alina – literally. But funding two households is the least of his worries when his angry ex, Fiz, tries to stop him seeing the children.
The pair’s split has been far from amicable, and, at the start of the week, Fiz has her nose put out of joint when Sarah offers her flexible shifts at the factory, and she learns it was Alina’s suggestion.
Her hackles are raised further when she collects Hope and Ruby from Tyrone and Alina’s flat. Ty’s left the girls with his lover while he’s at work – again – and Hope’s persuaded Alina to give her eyelash extensions, leaving the schoolgirl looking like a contestant from RuPaul’s Drag Race.
‘Fiz thinks Alina’s a daft kid, and this just proves it,’ says Jennie McAlpine, who plays her.
