GUILT
NEW THU / BBC2 / 9PM / EP 1 of 4 / COMEDY DRAMA
A tangled yarn drenched in dark humor, Guilt proved a hit with viewers and critics alike when it aired two years ago.
The Scottish thriller followed ambitious lawyer Max McCall (Shetland’s Mark Bonnar) and his sensitive brother, record-shop owner Jake (Annika’s Jamie Sives), as they tried to cover their tracks after accidentally running over and killing an elderly man.
As the second series begins, Jake has left Edinburgh for America, while Max is attempting to rebuild his life after being released from prison.
TV Times caught up with Mark, 52, to find out more…
How much persuading did you need to do another series?
None whatsoever! It was a joy to do the first one, and the prospect of playing Max again, possibly for the rest of my life, would appeal.
In this series, Max gets thrown into very different situations than he occupied in the first one.
Is Max a changed man now after everything he went through?
