Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are delighted to be bringing viewers ‘the happiest 90 minutes of the week’, as their ITV live extravaganza Saturday Night Takeaway returns for an 18th series.
Here, Ant and Dec, both 46, tell us about their brand-new games, paying tribute to 1980s film Ghos bt usters and the potential perils of pranking celebrities…
The past two series were adapted to follow COVID-19 guidelines. Will there be a live audience back in the studio this year?
ANT Yes! Hallelujah! Saturday Night Takeaway is all about the audience, whether that’s the audience at home or in the studio. So we’re over the moon and can’t wait to have fun.
DEC We couldn’t be more excited. We’ve really missed having a live studio audience as they add so much to the show, so we’re looking forward to welcoming them back.
Will all of the SNT team be back for the new run?
DEC Yes, Stephen Mulhern will be hosting Ant vs Dec. We can’t quite shake him off!
Andi Peters is back to run our viewer competitions, and we’ve given Fleur East a brand-new assignment. She’ll be going up and down the country, hoping to get viewers involved all over the UK.
