<p>One of many singles from Biffy Clyro&rsquo;s hugely successful album Only Revolutions, Many Of Horror is a great lesson in fingerstyle playing. And, though the original recording is played on electric, it&rsquo;s ripe for an acoustic treatment. Simon Neil&rsquo;s intro is a classic case of developing independence between the thumb (which essentially just plays the sixth string) and your first and second fingers (which flesh out the chords). Start slowly and focus on the first two bars, which outline the main patterns for you. We&rsquo;ve provided &lsquo;pima&rsquo; style picking directions in the tab below.</p><p>The track also features 10th interval chords (made infamous in Blackbird by The Beatles). These chords allow you to move up and down the fretboard using only two shapes &ndash; one major and one minor. The open fourth string is added to create richer sounds. Note that you&rsquo;ll need to downtune to drop D (DADGBE).</p>
