His ex-wife once said, “He just can’t be alone,” and it seems she was right.
Since splitting from actress Jennifer Garner, actor and director Ben Affleck has gone from the arms of one beautiful woman to the next – but this time things seem to be going rather well.
Ben (47) has been virtually inseparable from Cuban beauty Ana de Armas (32) recently, enjoying smooching sessions on the beach in Costa Rica before lockdown and loved-up walks in Los Angeles.
The two met on the set of the upcoming thriller Deep Water in which they play husband and wife. They had great chemistry from the start but kept things purely professional until filming ended in February, according to a source.
“Ben always seemed relaxed and happy around Ana but at the time there were no signs of a romance,” a set insider told US People magazine. “He was focused on making a fantastic movie.”
Ana was impressed with the two-time Oscar winner’s talent. “The first time we read scenes together it became clear he was going to do something exceptional with a complex role,” she told Vogue Spain. Once filming wrapped, they unleashed their feelings – and Ana whisked Ben off on a romantic trip to Cuba.
“Ana took him to all her favourite places,” a source said, adding Ben can speak Spanish after learning the language while filming a children’s TV show in Mexico as a teen. “He seemed to love the trip and was in a great mood.”
The couple also visited Costa Rica where they were seen taking a PDA-filled sunset walk. Now back in LA, they’re quarantining at Ben’s Pacific Palisades home. On Easter Sunday they were spotted walking their dogs, an increasingly common sight, insiders say.
