The allegations of sexual assault against actor Chris Noth may very well sink his career
KIM ABRAHAMS
IN BIG TROUBLE
HE’S best known for playing the mysterious, charming on-again-off-again lover of one of TV’s most beloved characters. And for as long as Sex and the City ran between 1998 and 2004, women were swooning along with Carrie Bradshaw about Mr. Big.

It’s why so many were stunned when the character met an untimely end in the show’s recent reboot, And Just Like That. Yet the shock was nothing compared to the allegations that emerged about Chris Noth, the actor who portrayed Mr. Big.

Multiple women have come forward claiming he sexually assaulted them. Their revelations paint a picture of a movie star who took advantage of his popularity to force young women to have sex with him.

As one of his accusers put it: “Chris Noth capitalized on the fantasy that women believe Mr. Big represented.”

Two women approached The Hollywood Reporter shortly after the reboot’s premiere to expose a litany of allegations of lewd behavior.

The women, using the pseudonyms Zoe and Lily to protect their privacy, claim Chris sexually assaulted them in separate incidents that occurred a decade apart.

The 67-year-old denies the claims. He admits to sleeping with them but says both interactions were consensual. “I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”

Then another woman came forward claiming he sexually assaulted her in 2010 when she was 18 and he was 55 – and more have come forward since. One of the cases is now under investigation by the Los Angeles police department.
