I’m nursing my coffee as the cover shoot is in motion. During her several changes, Sonakshi Sinha is cool as a cat, waiting patiently as the team of stylists work their magic. From someone who’s not involved in the process, and just watching her from afar, it’s amazing to see how Sonakshi switches ‘On’ when the camera is pointed towards her, and turns into a different person right after the shot. While all this is going on, I can’t help but remember that the last time I spoke to her was exactly a year ago (on the same date even, it’s eerie!). But there’s something strikingly different about Sonakshi today. From the looks of it, nothing has changed, really—she’s still as poised, as pleasant, and has that uncanny ability to make you feel extremely comfortable (as if you’re part of her #squad).
But there’s this new air of confidence, like she’s out to make her mark in the world. Not that she hasn’t already—she was one of the first female actors to join the coveted ‘100-crore club’ in Bollywood, and deliver a series of box office hits soon after...
