UGH, MY BOOBS ARE KILLING ME.
You've heard of growing pains, right? Well, quite simply, that's probably why your breasts ache: You're at the age when there are a lot of changes going on. And as they continue to develop, they might be tender or sore. Try wearing bras that help your boobs breathe, rather than restraining them in a tight sports bra, to help ease the aches.
MY BREASTS ARE SMALL, AND I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD WEAR SOMETHING. BUT I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO MAKE FUN OF ME IF THEY SEE A BRA. IDEAS?
It's totally normal to feel self-conscious when you start wearing a bra-but if you think you would be more comfortable covering your breasts (no matter how small), then you should definitely get one. Stick with a bra that's similar to your skin tone so it won't stand out under white shirts.
THERE'S HAIR ON MY NIPPLES. HELP!
Spotting some strays? Nothing to worry about. "Girls who have darker or more coarse hair will often see hair growth around the areolas [the circle of skin around the nipple]," says Dr. Carolyn Geanacou, a family doc in Davis, Calif. Want them gone? Pluck, don't shave. (Just say no to boob stubble.)
I SWEAR THAT YESTERDAY MY BOOBS GREW...BUT TODAY THEY'RE BACK TO BEING ITTY BITTIES. IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?
Breasts often swell when you're menstruating, then shrink when your period has passed. But it's also possible that your self-image might be at play here, too. The way you see your bod can change every day (or hour...or minute...or second), so it might explain why your girls are constantly shifting in your eyes.
