Q : Can you tell us bit about yourself? When and how did you get into modelling?

A: I’m Egle Standtaite 28 years old model from Kaunas, Lithuania. My story about getting into fashion world is quite funny. When I was 15 years old, my best friend invited me to come with her to a big casting in Kaunas. I joined her without knowing where I was getting into. I watched what was going on carefully by standing in the corner. Few dozens of young girls walked on the stage looking very stressed and insecure, carefully listening to the instructions given by the model agency scout. Later on the agent approached me and asked why I was hiding and didn’t join other girls on the stage. She looked at me from head to toe and confirmed I had everything to become an international model. I listened to her speach thinking to my self “what she was talking about?” and I continued eating my crisps. I said I wasn’t interested so she asked for my parents contact details. One year later, she rang my mother and we decided to join my very first modelling agency. My modelling career journey began very far- in the capital of South Korea, Seoul, later Istanbul, Milan and finally I came to London in 2010.
