It is not an overstatement that Richard Mille has carved out an unparalleled reputation in the luxury watch segment with much help from its proprietary Carbon TPT®. Traditionally associated with the men’s collections, thanks to material’s effortless interpretation of a strong and robust aesthetic, the tough yet ultra-light Carbon TPT® is increasingly finding a home among the ladies’ collection of the watch brand.
The timeline charted by the embodiment of Carbon TPT® in Richard Mille timepieces for women was kick-started half a decade ago in 2017. Making its women’s debut in a pre-SIHH launch, the material was featured in two iconic ladies’ model: the RM 07-01, as well as the RM 037 Carbon TPT® gem-set—the latter being injected with a dose of shine and sparkle to evoke a juxtaposition of sophistication and power.
At SIHH 2019, Richard Mille elicited a flurry of excitement as well as delectable colour with the Bonbon collection, comprising the Fruit and Sweets lines. From the array of 10 different designs, the six that belong to the Fruits line-up are graced with Carbon TPT®: RM 07-03 Litchi, RM 07-03 Myrtille, RM 16-01 Citron, RM 16-01 Fraise, RM 37-01 Cerise and RM 37-01 Kiwi—sporting sweet, inviting hues on one hand while being anchored by the strength and substance of Carbon TPT® on the other.
