It is just brick and stones put together until you add art to it. Alejandro Castano, an architect, and collector did the same with a neighborhood of Bogota and created history for the rest of the world. Located between the Calles 72 and 80, the San Felipe Neighborhood in Bogota is now one of the most famous artistic sensations of the city. With a vision to transform this neighborhood into an art district that would be a venue for hundreds of faces, Alejandro Castano opened a shop in San Felipe. Today, this shop is visited by every being who wants to soak up in the natural cultural environment of Colombia and appreciate the artwork of various artists.

Castano’s idea was a point of attraction for many artists. Since 2013, the neighborhood has seen several exciting art galleries including the Plural Nodo Cultural, Galeria Beta, Galeria Doce Cero Cero, Jacob Karpio Gallery, and Rincon as well. Apart from this , the neighborhood is also known for its thrilling festivals which never go missing from the radar. From Avenida Caracas to Carrera 24, San Felipe has emerged as a hub for artists, collectors, students, curators, and people who love and appreciate art. The hustle and bustle of this part of the city can be seen from the day till night with spectators wearing the colors they see.
