Yoga and Total Health|June 2020
A lot has been written about the impact and destruction of the Coronavirus and the lessons it has taught the world. Human beings have been shown their reflection in the mirror of reality and have realised their path of exploitation and self-destruction.

The Silver Lining In The Cloud

However, according to our wise forefathers, there is a silver lining in every cloud.

Nature has had a chance to heal itself. The skies are clear, blue, and pollution-free after decades. Our lungs can fill up with clean air. Visibility has increased beyond imagination and expectation, sights which were not seen for years can now be seen with the naked eye.

The animal world is reveling in its freedom. The chirruping of the songbirds is music for the soul. In the heart of Mumbai, the delightful call of the koel can be heard. Peacocks are seen parading in various parts of the city. Dolphins frolic in the sea at Marine Drive and whales are sighted near the oil rigs. Elephants leisurely amble on the streets of Coorg. This is not only in India. It is being observed worldwide that the animal world is enjoying the freedom of a kind that it has never before experienced.
