Following the events which led to the meeting of Shri Yogendraji with Homi Dadina, the son in law of Dadabhoy Naoroji, the great patriot and progressive thinker, Homi Dadina together with few others started learning yoga under guidance of Shri Yogendraji on the Versova beach.
1) On 25th December 1918, the first batch of students enrolled for a regular course in the premises of Homi Dadina. Thus this became the first location of ‘The Yoga Institute.’
2) During the visit and stay of Shri Yogendraji with Homi Dadina in America, the first foreign Yoga Institute was established on 30th June 1920 situated at Tuxedo Park, New York.
