For maintaining the day-to-day health of Fwomen, there is more in yoga than meets the eye. Scientific yoga has a cultural section of physical discipline, involving hygiene, preventive measures, and therapeutics. Women’s health, as women themselves, has been neglected so long that if we continue to neglect it further, the consequences to the individual and to the nation are bound to show, sooner or later. I make this statement because there seems to be a general growing impression among the leisured section of women folk in cities and elsewhere that their first duty should be to the less fortunate members of the society. But what example of physical well-being are these leaders to take to the suffering when they themselves suffer from poor health?
