There’s a simple way to dig into such a question: Use Bloomberg Dividend Forecasts (BDVD) data. BDVD’s team of analysts makes projections of dividends based on three things. First, analysts start with the company’s stated dividend policy. Second, they analyze publicly available information including guidance, financials, pricing data, options put-call parity, dividend swaps, sector- and region-based knowledge, and market momentum. Third, they assess patterns in payment history. BDVD projections have recently been enhanced to provide forecasts for as many as 10 years into the future.
