Rachel Connor has just broken through to the first team and is looking forward to cementing her place in the side

All To Play For

RACHEL Connor has risen through the ranks at Celtic and, at just 18-years-old, is now establishing herself as key player in the firstteam squad.

The Hoops women’s team are still undefeated in the league and recently booked their place in the semi-final of the League Cup, so competition for a place is intense.

Connor has risen to the challenge though and the young full-back is focused on cementing her place in the team as she presses ahead with her fledging career in the Hoops.

How has the season gone so far?

The season is going really well. We recently played Spartans and Hamilton Accies. The Hamilton game was probably our best performance of the season so far. We won 3-0 and got into the semi-final of the League Cup. The performance was down to us taking everything as it came and playing well with each other on the pitch. It was a great team performance. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to play in that game because I had a hamstring injury. We drew 0-0 with Spartans and that was a bit of a frustrating result for us because we created plenty of opportunities. We played some good football in that game so we can build on that as the season progresses. We’re still undefeated in the league and we’ve only conceded one goal so it’s been good. The hamstring injury wasn’t serious. It was just a slight strain so I only missed the Hamilton game.
